A larger orchestra returned with three soloists and the very talented Jacob Bride to perform the ‘World Premiere of Jacob Bride's Travel Guide to the Orchestra’ taking us on a trip through different counties. We also had flag-waving favourites such as Land of Hope and Glory, together with other more unusual tunes, such as Britten's Folk Serenaden. Children from Lenham Nursery School and Lenham Primary School produced artwork and a few pupils from Lenham Primary School performed and entertained the audience with their dancing. We’d like to thank the following individuals and companies for which this event would not have been possible:
The proceeds of £2,800 from this event, raised by tickets sales, the bar and the raffle were given to the Lenham Family Festival committee to add to other monies rose during the festival to produce a fantastic £1,500 each to Lenham Nursery, Lenham Primary School and Prostate Cancer.

Well, it’s all over for another year. We hope you all enjoyed the 2018 Festival as much as we did. Judging by the lovely comments we have had, lots of fun was had by those who attended the various events taking place in June. The weather was kind to us during the outdoor events and we are pleased to have achieved our aim of bringing our community together to raise money for good causes in an enjoyable way that is affordable and accessible to everyone. We would like to say a huge thank you to the following people:
The Lenham Family Festival Committee members all agree that, other than raising money for good causes, one of the best things about the Festival is seeing the whole community come together to create something that everyone can be a part of and enjoy. From the long list of “thank yous above we think you’ll agree that this truly is a community that pulls together. Well done Lenham and we are looking forward to next year’s Festival already! Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to one of our biggest supporters over the
years. The competition to select the successor to our fantastic and long serving Town Crier took place during the Festival as Gez is moving on to pastures new. On 13 June the Festival Committee met with Gez to make a presentation in recognition of all his hard work. We will miss you Gez and thank you so much for supporting and promoting the Festival over the years. Please stay in touch. A presentation was made to Gez Clarke by the Lenham Festival committee, so say thank you for his support to the festival over the past few years. On Saturday at the Lenham family festival, Gez Clarke provided his services as Town Crier to the festival for the final time with regular announcements in his usual engaging style throughout the afternoon. Saturday also marked the occasion of the town crier competition. The new town crier was chosen, and Mike was introduced to the village at the country market on Sunday. The Lenham festival committee would like to thank Gez for his commitment, enthusiasm and support for our yearly event. It is clear that he has Lenham and it's community within his DNA. We will miss his considerable presence, and we all wish him and his family well in their new adventure together.
All entry to the festival non-ticketed venues is free of charge, but throughout the weekend all our partners and stall holders will be raising money for our selected charities . We really thank all our performers, who have generously agreed to entertain us free of charge. We are delighted to be supporting three different charities this year;
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
